(CBS) –An Austin family’s Memorial Day barbecue was disrupted in a big way because of a police chase involving a Lamborghini.
CBS 2’s Brad Edwards reports.
Members of the James family weren’t quite sure what happened, or what brought the pretty black Lamborghini to their alley about 5 p.m. Cops swarmed the scene; the driver fled.
“The Lamborghini just left the cops in the smoke,” Ron James says. “The cops just got out of the car and started laughing. Because they knew there was no way.”
James offered to drive the car to the police station for officers, but they declined.
The car was later impounded. No one was in custody.
